Fraudsters continue to evolve their scam and authorized push payment (APP) attacks using more sophisticated approaches that involve rich personal data combined with generative AI. No wonder scams and APP fraud are top of mind for banking and fraud professionals as losses continue to grow.

Identifying new fraud signals indicative of a possible scam continue to evolve. However, a new approach to scam detection shows promise that leverages fraud signals, their timely application, and different styles of interventions. This session will discuss the threats posed by scams and the potential benefits of orchestrating fraud signals, when they are applied, and contextual interventions to protect FIs and their consumers.
