Tom Mangine is an Adjunct Professor at the Joint Special Operations University, where he teaches classes on Cybersecurity (Operations & Strategy), Cryptocurrency and Combatting Terrorist Financing. He also serves as an Instructor with the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists, where he helped develop the new CFCS Certification exam as well as the Cryptocurrency Specialist exam.
Tom previously spent eight years at BMO Harris where he served as VP, AML Governance; Chief of Special Investigations; MLRO Designate for the US and Director for Cyber Resilience. More recently, he worked at EY where he served as a Manager in the Financial Crime Compliance practice.
Tom entered the financial industry after more than twenty years with the US Army. He earned a BS in Political Science from the United States Military Academy and an MA in International Relations from the Naval Postgraduate School. He speaks French, Portuguese and Spanish.
