Richard is Head of Cash & Self Service for NatWest Group, where he is accountable for the entire cash lifecycle including wholesale cash, ATMs, self-service automation within branches and banknote issuance in Scotland and Northern Ireland. In addition, Richard leads on cash strategy for the Group and has been heavily involved in work across the industry to ensure cash remains sustainable for the long term.
NatWest is unique in the UK as the only bank to own and operate its own wholesale cash operations handling around of a third of all the cash in the UK. NatWest also operates the largest ATM network of any UK bank, with over 5000 devices in supermarkets, bank branches, railway stations and other locations.
Richard is based in London, but leads a team of 800 colleagues across the UK and India, and is a member of the NWG Payments Executive Team (responsible for leading one of the largest payments businesses in the UK) where he also leads on data and AI across Payments.
