Troy Pugh has been with Ally Bank for one year. He is currently the Senior Director Fusion Center & Deposit Fraud within the Enterprise Fraud, Security, and Investigations (EFSI) Analytics team, where his responsibilities include leading the Fusion Center and Effective Challenge teams. Other projects include liaising with multiple teams to identify gaps in policy, procedure and technology that leaves Ally and their customers open to Fraud and Financial Crime activity.
Prior to his role at Ally, Pugh was Head of Fraud and Financial Crime Intelligence at AIG. Before AIG, Mr. Pugh was a Subject Matter Expert for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) where he led multiple projects and program update initiatives. He also held Senior Executive positions within IBM and Wells Fargo where he led fraud investigations and fraud/financial crime intelligence units. Finally, Mr. Pugh was the SVP and Executive for Bank of America’s Financial Crime Intelligence and Fraud and Special Investigations (Fraud, AML and Cyber) team where he led multiple initiatives and special investigation activities across Fraud, AML and Cyber to identify nation state and criminal ring activity across the global organization.
Mr. Pugh is also a Navy Reservist assigned to Indo Pacific Command (IPACOM) where he is the Deputy Commander for Contested Logistics. Prior to this role, CAPT Pugh was the Commodore of the 2nd Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment where he led a team of roughly 900 active duty and reserve Sailors and Marines in operations around the globe.
Pugh received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and has a Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University. He also holds a Masters degree in Strategy and Leadership from the National Defense University and a post graduate certificate from California State University Sacramento as a Certified Criminal Intelligence Analyst. He is also Six Sigma/DFSS Greenbelt certified.
Pugh grew up in Logansport Indiana and currently resides in Huntersville, NC. He is married to his high school sweetheart Robin (22 years) and has three children; Joe (20), Quentin (16) and Reilly (13). In his free time, Troy can be found working out in the gym or reading a book.
