Gerry Gebel is VP of Products and Standards at Strata Identity where he oversees the product management team and defines product vision, strategy, and roadmap. He is a recognized leader in cloud identity and access management, having provided requirements definitions, architecture development and strategic planning for identity management projects with Fortune 500 corporations for over 20 years.
Gerry works tirelessly to promote industry standards in identity. He leads the effort with the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) to develop Identity Query Language (IDQL), a policy orchestration standard, and the Hexa open source project. https://hexaorchestration.org/. He also co-chairs the OpenID Foundation’s AuthZEN working group where he is working to standardize authorization systems.
Gerry joined Strata from Axiomatics, global provider of access control solutions, where he served as vice president of business development. Previously, he was Vice President & Service Director with identity-focused research firm Burton Group (acquired by Gartner) for nearly 10 years, covering topics such as authentication, biometrics, federated identity, PKI architecture, identity management, policy-based controls, user provisioning, privacy, directory services, and security architecture. Gerry began his career in the technology group at JPMorgan Chase Bank.
