Brent A. Plummer is Counsel and Vice-President in the Privacy and Data Protection Legal Department at Bank of America. Working alongside a small team of privacy attorneys, Brent provides legal support for US privacy law and regulation, US privacy legislation and public policy, telemarketing and direct communications law and regulation, AI and privacy, cross-border data transfers, employee privacy, and open banking. Brent has practiced privacy law for nearly 5 years as in-house counsel with Bank of America. Brent holds several International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certifications including the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) US and Europe, Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), and Privacy Law Specialist (PLS). Prior to practicing law, Brent worked several years as a research librarian for Bingham McCutchen and Morgan Lewis and as a conflicts analyst for Bass, Berry, and Sims. Brent received his BA in History and Political Science from Indiana University in 2012 and his JD from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2019.
