Hannah Gdalman leads research and advisory initiatives at the Financial Health Network focused on helping banks, credit unions, and fintechs work toward the shared mission of financial health for all. She is the lead author of the FinHealth Spend Report, an annual study tracking what American households spend on financial products and services, and a contributor to the FinHealth Standards for Spending Management Products, a practical toolkit for designing checking accounts and credit cards that drive better customer outcomes.

Hannah's current work focuses on the intersection of data and action, translating research on consumer financial behavior into tools and guidance that financial services providers can actually use. Since joining the Financial Health Network in 2019, she has worked with institutions of all sizes to understand and address the financial health needs of their customers.

Before joining the Financial Health Network, Hannah served with the Peace Corps in Guatemala, working on youth development in rural indigenous communities. She holds a master's in sociology with a focus in Applied Community and Economic Development from Illinois State University and a bachelor's in sociology and Spanish from Knox College.
