Michelle M. Balog, JD, is President & CEO of NuMark Credit Union in Joliet, Illinois, and previously served for 17 years as the organization's Executive Vice President & General Counsel. An Illinois-licensed attorney since 1995, she brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning credit unions, banking, and private legal practice.

At NuMark, Balog has led enterprise priorities across lending, retail, marketing, and compliance/risk, and has also overseen IT and collections. Her background includes commercial loan development, underwriting, and workout expertise, along with deep experience in regulatory compliance, safety and soundness examinations, and strategic planning.

Balog is also an experienced educator, having taught as an adjunct faculty member at St. Xavier University's Graham School of Management. She is active in community and professional organizations, including leadership roles with the Illinois Credit Union Foundation and Rotary District 6450. She earned her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law (IIT) and a B.A. in Political Science from Purdue University Northwest.
