Manny Johl is a senior leader at the intersection of insurance, data, and technology. He currently leads Plaid’s Insurance Practice, where he works with carriers, insurtechs, and agencies to apply Plaid’s data network and products across P&C, Life, and Surety—advancing innovation in underwriting, fraud prevention, claims, and customer acquisition.



Prior to Plaid, Manny spent years driving insurance innovation and growth as Chief Revenue Officer at CoverHound and its subsidiary CyberPolicy. In that role, he built and scaled revenue operations, developed strategic partnerships with 60+ insurance carriers—including multiple Fortune 500 companies—and helped guide the company through its acquisition by Brown & Brown, Inc.



Earlier in his career, Manny gained deep, hands-on experience in underwriting and commercial insurance at Travelers, Samsung Fire & Marine and ICW Group working across a broad range of commercial coverages. This foundation gives him a practical, carrier-native perspective on how technology can be responsibly and effectively deployed to modernize insurance.
