Lon Varns is the Founder and President of Aries Fraud Solutions and the inventor of the patented Obscurity Card™, a dual-PAN payment card technology designed to prevent card-not-present fraud at its source. With more than 15 years of experience in card operations, payments, and fraud management, Lon has held leadership roles with financial institutions including USAA, BBVA Compass, LegacyTexas Bank, Avadian Credit Union, Southwest 66 Credit Union, and Guaranty Bank.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Lon holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership and Management from Concordia University and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Texas Lutheran University. His work focuses on helping financial institutions move beyond reactive fraud detection toward preventative strategies that reduce fraud losses, operational expense, and member disruption.
