Richard Jones is a senior cybersecurity and risk executive with over 30 years of experience leading large-scale security, technology, and business transformation programs in financial services. He is currently the Chief Security Officer for CIBC, US. He has also held executive leadership roles at TD Bank Group and JPMorgan Chase, with accountability across customer and employee authentication, application security, data protection, cloud security, third-party risk, strategy, and governance.

He is known for being a trusted advisor, helping to develop enterprise-wide strategies that strengthen control environments, reduce risk, support regulatory readiness, and improve customer and business outcomes. Richard is also recognized for his ability to engage effectively with boards, regulators, senior executives, and technical teams, combining strategic leadership with deep operational expertise.

In addition to his corporate leadership experience, Richard is a Certified Public Accountant and the creator of two U.S. patents. He has contributed to industry initiatives through organizations such as FS-ISAC and BITS, and he has remained active in community leadership and non-profit service.
