Karen is a native Texan from the Houston area. She attended Texas A&M University, where she studied Civil Engineering, and has built a long-standing career in banking and financial services. She currently serves as Director, Commercial Products and Payments at Zions Bancorporation, where she leads strategy and product direction for commercial product and payment solutions. Karen is known for bringing innovation, strategic thinking, and practical execution to treasury and payments modernization, with a focus on helping commercial clients navigate an evolving financial landscape. She is passionate about advancing the treasury and payments industry and has spoken at national, state, and local payment and treasury management conferences. Deeply committed to education and continuing studies, Karen has also served as an instructor for the AFP Essentials of Treasury Management course offered through the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies at Rice University. Karen has five children, two stepchildren, and an assorted menagerie at home. She enjoys travel and antiquing.
