Dan Gutman is a leader on Prudential's Future Growth Initiatives team within Retirement Strategies. This team is focused on delivering retirement income in brand new ways to expand access to retirement security across the United States. Dan's focus is on retail wealth management opportunities which include RIA distribution, fintech platform partnerships, and new product innovation. Prior to this role, Dan has held a multitude of leadership roles across Prudential at the intersection of distribution and technology, from leading teams of relationship managers and financial advisors, to managing key account relationships and developing tech-forward capabilities. Dan has a passion for innovation and helping financial advisors utilize technology and financial planning to help their clients retire with dignity.
Throughout his 14 years at Prudential, Dan has been a tech evangelist and distribution leader, most recently serving as VP of Platform Strategy where he developed many of Prudential's external platform relationships while managing the RIA distribution team. Previously he held the role of vice president of strategic relationship management, where he managed Prudential's key account relationships in the advisor channel. Prior to this Dan held the role of director of sales technology for Prudential where he provided value-added programs and in-market technology training to financial professionals and their customers. In this capacity, Dan would typically deliver 300 - 350 field meetings with over 10,000 attendees annually at conferences, educational forums, and industry events throughout the country. Prior to this role he served in various capacities within sales, digital marketing, and business intelligence for Prudential Annuities.
Dan holds a Digital Media Marketing Certificate from NYU and a certification in salesforce.com administration. Dan earned his bachelor's degree from Brandeis University, with a double major in economics and business. He currently resides in the greater NYC area where he has a passion for playing piano and pursuing philanthropic endeavors for Huntington's Disease and other charities.
