Lu Zurawski joined the Strategy unit at the UK Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) in 2024 as a Technical Specialist, where he supports the PSR’s long-term strategic initiatives. His work focuses on identifying trends and signals that affect payment system users - particularly those emerging beyond the core infrastructure, in the innovative services shaping the edges of today’s payments ecosystems.

With a background in Financial Services IT, Lu has held roles in product management, marketing, relationship management, and commercial development. He has worked with companies such as Logica/CGI (a global systems integrator and consultancy), ACI Worldwide (a leading payments technology provider), and Gen Digital (a cybersecurity firm with a focus on digital identity).

Lu is a regular speaker at industry events including SIBOS, Money20/20, and EBA Day. He is known for his thought-provoking perspectives that often challenge conventional thinking in the world of payments and digital interaction.

Based in London, Lu shares life with Mrs Z and two Gen Z children – an ever-evolving ecosystem of payments, social media, and big data. When he’s not pontificating about the future of payments, you’ll likely find him on a long-distance bike ride.
