Nicole Jonker has been with De Nederlandsche Bank since 2001 and works at Payments, Cash and Market Infrastructure division as Principal Economist. Her research centres on consumer behaviour and retail payments, including accessibility, the digital euro, open banking, generational trends. In addition, she contributed to policy initiatives regarding the payment cards market. Jonker earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Amsterdam (2001).
