Speaker Bio
Brandon Watkins a seasoned Cards & Payments Executive with over 32 years of experience in the financial services industry. I currently manage the P&L for Avadian Credit Union’s cards and payments verticals. With more than 19 years dedicated to overseeing cards, payments, operations, fraud, and ATM/ITM solutions, I have developed a high level of expertise in the payment industry.
Before joining Avadian in 2019, I served as Vice President of Card Operations at IBERIABANK and Vice President of Cards at Regions Financial Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. I also chaired the operational advisory board for one of largest debit networks in the U.S.
My extensive knowledge of card and payment networks, operational risk, and payment product verticals has enabled me to successfully grow revenue and drive innovation. A forward-thinking leader, I’m focused on enhancing the payment experience for members and providing solutions that meet them where they are in their financial journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, home projects, and participating in community reinvestment programs like Habitat for Humanity. I’m happily married to Kristy Watkins, and we have one son, Bailey, who recently graduated with his MBA.
An interesting fact about me is that I enjoy flying and earned my private pilots’ license in 2008.
