James Porr is currently the Head of Treasury Management at Customers Bank, a full-service commercial bank headquartered in West Reading, PA with about $21 Billion in assets.

James joined Customers bank in January of 2024 from First Republic Bank (JPMorgan Chase) where he served as the National Head of Treasury Management Product Consulting. Prior to First Republic, James worked for CIT Bank as a Sales Director involved in providing complex solutions to middle market companies and handling special projects within CIT’s Treasury Management Group. James also held several senior managerial positions within Capital One Bank's Treasury Management group in NY with his last position at Capital One being the Director of Sales Operations & Strategy. He has also held similar positions at Commerce/TD Bank as well as the Bank of NY.

James has over 35 years of banking experience with almost 30 years in treasury management and has lectured on various treasury management topics at The New York Cash Exchange and The NY State Government Finance Officers Conference. He has also published several articles on treasury management related topics.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a specialization in U.S. Domestic Monetary Policy from Columbia University in the City of New York. He resides in Ramsey, NJ with his wife Elizabeth and two children, Nicholas and Sophia.
